On 1 July 2015,
six landfill and alternative waste treatment methods developed under the Carbon Farming Initiative were revoked. These methods are closed for new entry. Projects already registered under a revoked method may continue to use that method.
Landfill and alternative waste treatment methods avoid emissions through operation of landfill or alternative waste treatment facilities. There are a number of landfill and alternative waste treatment methods available.
