Audits are required under the schemes the Clean Energy Regulator administers –
Emissions Reduction Fund, the
National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme, the
safeguard mechanism and the
Renewable Energy Target.
The Clean Energy Regulator hosts audit and assurance workshops in Melbourne and Sydney each year, with additional workshops in other cities as required.
The workshops are a key opportunity for the Clean Energy Regulator to meet with auditors, talk openly about all audit matters, and set expectations for the coming year. They also provide an opportunity for auditors to discuss their concerns amongst themselves, and with Clean Energy Regulator staff.
The Clean Energy Regulator hosts webinars for Registered Greenhouse and Energy Auditors on the schemes we administer and specific audit matters.
