The Clean Energy Regulator recommends that you seek independent, professional advice when trading Australian carbon credit units, large-scale generation certificates and small-scale technology certificates.
The
Australian Financial Markets Association (AFMA) has developed a number of resources to assist individuals and businesses participating or planning to participate in Australia's financial markets.
The AFMA provides
environmental product documentation for spot contracts in the secondary market. Note that this document is not recommended for use when trading significant volumes or when dealing forward. This document covers the following environmental products administered by the Clean Energy Regulator:
- Australian carbon credit units and Non-Kyoto Australian carbon credit units
- large-scale generation certificates, and
- small-scale technology certificates.
Contact the AFMA for information about forward trades, trade of carbon units and trade of eligible international emissions units.
