February Large-scale Renewable Energy Target market data now available

The Clean Energy Regulator has released the February 2019 Large-scale Renewable Energy Target market data.

February highlights

  • 34 power stations were accredited in February with a combined capacity of 280 megawatts. This includes three utility-scale solar projects with a total capacity of 265 megawatts.
  • A total of 563 megawatts has been accredited so far in 2019. This is more than the total capacity of power stations accredited in 2016.
  • The Waurn Ponds Smart Energy Project, a solar project with a capacity of 7.25 megawatts, reached financial close in February. The total capacity of committed projects is now 5195 megawatts.

The Clean Energy Regulator has also updated the historical Large-scale Renewable Energy Target supply data. The data files contain information on:

  • total large-scale generation certificates (LGCs) in the REC Registry and capacity of accredited projects in 2018, and
  • accredited power stations from 2001 to 2018.
